Adamawa CP Vows To Arrest Attackers Of INEC Commissioner, Others

Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde, has deployed operatives of the Command to arrest attackers of INEC National Commissioner, Prof.

A.A Zuru, who was on election duty in the State for the Saturdays supplementary governorship election.

A statement issued on Monday by the Commands Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that operatives of the command drawn from the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Special Rapid Response Team (SRRT), and other Tactical squads have been commissioned to carry out discreet investigation against political gangsterism and their instigators that attacked the INEC National Commissioner, who was deployed to the State for national assignment.

The CP equally directed Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of CID to lead the investigation team and ensure diligent prosecution to enable attackers face the full wrath of the law.

He also reemphasised the firm determination of the Command in ensuring safety of lives and property while seeking full cooperation from members of the public particularly politicians to talk to their supporters to shun all forms of violence and key into the Commands effort in maintaining peace in the State.
