August 19, (THEWILL) – Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has said that the nomination of Ishak Saloko, Wale Edun and Bosun Tijani, as Ministers-Designate by the President Bola Tinubu-led Administration, would turn things around for Nigeria.
Portfolios of the three are Dr Ishak Salako, Minister of State, Environment and Ecological Management; Dr Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, and Mr Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.
Abiodun, who lauded Tinubu on the portfolios of the trio, said that their appointment as ministers from the state, not only reflect competence, but would also change the fortune of the country for better.
He disclosed this in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Lekan Adeniran, and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Friday.
The governor said the nomination of the three and the choice of their portfolios would prove critical in actualising the president’s Renewed Hope agenda for Nigeria
“No doubt, the nomination of Mr Wale Edun, Dr Bosun Tijani and Dr Ishaq Salako and the subsequent assignment of portfolios reflects President Bola Tinubu’s resolve to turn things around in the country and give hope to millions of Nigerians”, he said
Abiodun, while wishing the ministers-designate, set to resume office on Monday, best of luck in the discharge of their duties to the president and their fatherland, charged them to undertake programmes and policies that would lift Nigeria and Nigerians to unprecedented heights, and would also justify the confidence reposed by them in electing Tinubu’s administration into power during the 2023 polls.
