New research has claimed European data center operators are growing increasingly concerned about their energy supply as the continents energy crisis caused partly as an indirect result of Russias Ukraine invasion continues.
A study by Aggreko (opens in new tab) of 700 data center professionals across seven European countries, including the UK, France, and parts of Scandinavia, found that concerns about the current grid infrastructure are leading to an uncertain future most so in the UK.
The solution, says Aggrekos European Sector Leader for Data Centers, Guido Neijmeijer, is to focus on hybrid generation and batteries for storage, which he says will enable data centers to strike a balance between power, sustainability and efficiency.
