Ibrahim Goni, conservator general of the National Park Service (NPS), on Monday said the National Assembly had approved the instigation of 10 new national parks in the country.
“It is gratifying to mention that the service has recently received the concurrence of the National Assembly with the formal proclamation of the new national parks into existence.
Because of this development, he noted, “the new national parks will open up new areas of the service in the near future.”
“Some of the efforts in this direction include regular training programs, training, conferences, seminars, and study tours.
“I request that in return for this kindness, these new officers make sure that they carry out their responsibilities with diligence and to the highest professional standard. Whoever receives much, should also expect much, the CG said.
