Abuja-Lagos highway to be ready in 2027 – FG

He further said that the road will traverse through the states of Kogi, Ekiti, Oyo, Lagos, Ogun, Niger, Kwara, and the FCT, and that it would be built by a private sector partnership at no expense to the Federal Government.

The President has given me permission to move quickly on this. Each of the two lanes in this project will be 14 meters in width and able to accommodate two-way traffic.

This highway will take four years to build, but will have a lifespan of 100 years. We are not contributing any kobo to the initiative, but rather providing guidance.
