Samsung has unveiled its two newest additions to its foldable phones. The highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
The two Flagship smart phones were officially launched at the just concluded summer edition of Samsung Unpacked 2023 which was held yesterday in Seoul, South Korea, the company’s first product launch in its home country.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is an “entry” clamshell device. It comes with a 3.4inch external display, that’s much larger than its predecessor. Now you can reply to messages, use your wallet, and perform basic tasks that would previously require opening the phone.
Its hinge design has received an upgrade that eliminates the gap when the handset is closed. Its custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip accounts for speed and double the previous storage.
It is available for pre-order through Samsung and Amazon starting at $999.
The Galaxy Fold 5
The Galaxy Z Fold 5, is an iterative (if still welcome) update. The book-style foldable is delivered in a thinner, gapless design with a brighter primary display.
Like the Flip, the Fold also runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and comes with improved multitasking abilities. It can also be pre-ordered now through Samsung and Amazon at $1,799.
Both phones will be available from the 11th of August.
