The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, along with Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), Pfizer, and Becton, Dickinson & Company (BD), have expanded their collaboration to enhance access to injectable contraceptives for women in low- and lower-middle-income countries.
With increased manufacturing capacity and a rise from 69 to 92 eligible countries, this effort is set to provide over 320 million doses of Pfizer’s Sayana® Press contraceptive by 2030.
The move addresses the unmet need for contraception in such regions, promoting health, family planning, and gender equality.
