The Federal Government on Friday said it is impossible to evacuate Nigerian students right now in wartorn Sudan as any flight is at risk.
Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike DabiriErewa disclosed this while giving update on the Sudan crisis.
DabiriErewa, in tweets said the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Nigerian Mission in Sudan had put in place necessary arrangements, any flights now is gravely risky.
She said airlines on ground at the airport were all burnt today, as there is a curfew in place which meant no flights could operate.
DabiriErewa said humanitarian groups were making efforts to distribute food, water, medicals, while all efforts were being put in place to hopefully get the warring parties to ceasefire.
