Abducted Nasarawa Deputy Governor’s Driver Regains Freedom

After five days in captivity, the abducted driver of the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Emmanuel Akanbe, Mr Daniel Ogoshi has been released.

Ogoshi was released at about 815 on Saturday, our correspondent learnt on Sunday.

He was kidnapped at a friends residence around Ombi 2, near the state College of Agriculture in Lafia, the state capital on April 18th.

A family source said certain amount was paid before his release but failed to disclose the amount.

He said Ogoshis abductors had reached out to family members two days later and requested for certain sum as ransom for his release.
