Description
The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program is a joint initiative between the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Japan that aims to provide financial assistance to outstanding students from developing countries in the Asia and Pacific region. The program supports the education of individuals who have the potential to contribute to the development of their home countries and the region as a whole.
The scholarship program provides full tuition fees, a monthly stipend for living expenses, a housing allowance, medical and accident insurance, travel expenses, and other allowances to cover educational materials and research expenses. In addition to financial support, the program also offers opportunities for networking, mentorship, and other forms of support to help scholars succeed in their academic and professional pursuits.
Since its inception in 1988, the program has supported over 3,400 scholars from 46 countries, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in their respective fields and make significant contributions to their home countries and the region.
