To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Be enrolled in one of the following programs at Dalhousie University School of Law: Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Diploma in International Law (DIL)
  • Demonstrate financial need by submitting proof of income for parents/guardians and tax returns for self and spouse or partner if applicable
  • Submit an official copy of your academic transcript from your country of origin as well as all other countries where you have studied at grade levels equivalent to those found in North America (i.e., primary education, secondary education, college/university). If your educational credentials are not written in English, please include an official translation along with the original document(s). All documents must be provided in PDF format and no larger than 1 MB each.

  7. The Elwyn Morris Scholarship – This scholarship is available to students from the Caribbean area who have completed at least one year of law school and have an excellent academic record. The award amount is $2,000.
  8. The MLI Scholarship – This scholarship is available to students from the Middle East or North Africa who have completed at least one year of law school and have an excellent academic record. The award amount is $2,000.
  9. The Max Rosenbloom Scholarship – This scholarship is available to students from the United States who have completed at least one year of law school and have an excellent academic record. The award amount is $2,000.
  10. The Bhatnagar Scholarship – This scholarship is available to students from India who have completed at least one year of law school and have an excellent academic record. The award amount is $3,000.
  11. The Stanley Fink Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship is available to students from Canada who have completed at least one year of law school and have an excellent academic record. The award amount is $1,500
