To be eligible for the Thompson Rivers University Accounting & Finance Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an international student (non-Canadian) who has lived in their country of origin for at least five years prior to applying;
  • Have been accepted into the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance program at TRU as an undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a scale of 4);
  • Submit proof that they have no criminal record;
  • Be able to provide evidence that they have sufficient funding to cover their living expenses while attending TRU (i.e., bank statements or other documentation).

Please note that failure to provide all required information will result in disqualification from consideration for this scholarship award.

  1. The WMC Scholarship is open to all undergraduate students enrolled in any discipline at TRU. This scholarship will provide $2,500 toward their tuition fees for each year of study.
  2. The RBF Scholarship Program is available to any undergraduate student enrolled in Accounting or Finance at Thompson Rivers University who has an interest in working within the not-for-profit sector upon graduation. This scholarship will provide $5,000 toward their tuition fees for each year of study as long as they maintain good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher).
  3. The PNC Scholarships are available to any undergraduate student enrolled in Accounting or Finance at Thompson Rivers University who has an interest in working within the financial services industry upon graduation. This scholarship will provide $5,000 toward their tuition fees for each year of study as long as they maintain good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher).
  4. The Raymond E. Johnson Scholarship is awarded to students from outside Canada who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Accounting program at TRU and have demonstrated academic excellence. The scholarship is worth $3,000 per year for up to four years (or five years if the student completes their Bachelor’s degree in five years).
  5. The SCAF scholarship is available to undergraduate students enrolled in any program at TRU who demonstrate financial need and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. The scholarship award amount is based on family income level, with lower-income families receiving more funding than higher-income families. The maximum award amount per year is $3,500; however, this amount may vary depending on your family’s income level.
  6. The USA Scholarship: This scholarship is available only to applicants who have lived in the United States for at least three years (starting from when they turned 6 years old).
  7. The Canada Scholarship: This scholarship is available only to applicants who have lived in Canada for at least five years (starting from when they turned 8 years old).
  8. The Indigenous Scholarship: This scholarship is available only to applicants who are First Nations or Métis descent or have an Aboriginal Identity Card.
  9. The Asian Scholarship: This scholarship is available only to applicants who are from any of the following Asian countries: China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia or Taiwan.
  10.
